{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-34-36-2","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 34-36-2","heading":"Motor vehicles of employers -- Rules.","body":"(1) The Labor Commission shall make and enforce reasonable rules relating to motor vehicles used to transport workers to and from their places of employment. These rules shall be embodied in a safety code and shall establish minimum standards.\n(2)\n(a) A person who is an employee of an electrical corporation, a gas corporation, or a telephone corporation, as these corporations are defined in Section 54-2-1, is exempt from any hours of service rules and regulations for drivers while operating a public utility vehicle within the state during the emergency restoration of public utility service.\n(b) As used in Subsection (2)(a), \"emergency\" means a condition that jeopardizes life or property, or that endangers public health and safety.","path":["Title 34 Labor in General","Chapter 34-36 Transportation of Workers"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title34/Chapter36/34-36-S2.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"4a2d1924e129e73c1ed8eac7efff027a540a8e5d8f75ffd21f86fcc3fc721a30","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-34-36-1","next":"us-ut/utah-code-34-36-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
