{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-34a-2-407.1","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 34A-2-407.1","heading":"Ground ambulance reimbursement.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"base rate\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 53-2d-503.\n(2) For a mileage rate established in a rule created under Section 53-2d-503, an employer or the employer's workers' compensation insurance carrier, if any, shall accept a correctly charged mileage rate as an allowable expense for a claim.\n(3) For claims made under Section 53-2d-503, an employer or the employer's workers' compensation insurance carrier, if any, shall accept a correctly charged amount that is equal to the base rate as an allowable expense.\n(4) An employer or the employer's workers' compensation insurance carrier, if any, shall make a payment for claims described in this section directly to the provider, including an out-of-network provider.","path":["Title 34A Utah Labor Code","Chapter 34A-2 Workers' Compensation Act","Part 34A-2-4 Compensation and Benefits"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title34A/Chapter2/34A-2-S407.1.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"24cda669e2ee8465fa9cc735e82efe1bf93aaaab3ba3a2f67e6d2c4387755614","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-34a-2-407","next":"us-ut/utah-code-34a-2-407.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
