{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-34a-7-101","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 34A-7-101","heading":"Scope of chapter -- Exemptions.","body":"(1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), this part applies to any boiler or pressure vessel used in:\n(a) industrial or manufacturing establishments;\n(b) business establishments;\n(c) sawmills;\n(d) construction jobs; and\n(e) any place where workers or the public may be exposed to risks from the operation of boilers or pressure vessels.\n(2) This part does not apply to:\n(a) a boiler or pressure vessel subject to inspection, control, or regulation under the terms of any law or regulation of the federal government or any of its agencies;\n(b) an air tank located on a vehicle used for transporting passengers or freight; or\n(c) a boiler or pressure vessel that is excluded from the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code published by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.","path":["Title 34A Utah Labor Code","Chapter 34A-7 Safety","Part 34A-7-1 Boilers and Pressure Vessels"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title34A/Chapter7/34A-7-S101.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"06bce0b424953793310852f21cfc3c3d6834fb4bbf2b5c0d13bda047df8facfa","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-34a-6-307","next":"us-ut/utah-code-34a-7-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
