{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-35a-15-203","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 35A-15-203","heading":"School Readiness Restricted Account -- Creation -- Funding -- Distribution of funds.","body":"(1) There is created in the General Fund a restricted account known as the \"School Readiness Restricted Account.\"\n(2) The School Readiness Restricted Account consists of:\n(a) money appropriated by the Legislature;\n(b) all income and interest derived from the deposit and investment of money in the account;\n(c) federal grants; and\n(d) private donations.\n(3) Subject to legislative appropriations, money in the restricted account may be used:\n(a) to award a grant under Section 35A-15-301 or 35A-15-302;\n(b) to contract with an evaluator;\n(c) to fund the participation of eligible students in a high quality school readiness program through a results-based contract; and\n(d) for administration costs and to monitor the programs described in this part.\n(4) Money for awards under Subsection (3)(a) shall be allocated in the following order to:\n(a) pay results-based contracts;\n(b) grant awards under Section 35A-15-302; and\n(c) if any allocated funds remain, grant awards under Section 35A-15-301.","path":["Title 35A Utah Workforce Services Code","Chapter 35A-15 Preschool Programs","Part 35A-15-2 School Readiness Program"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title35A/Chapter15/35A-15-S203.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"6ebba528ade2f9023d5b88a944c72965ca71085a19ff8c3c96c40ff02d5e2bdc","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-35a-15-202","next":"us-ut/utah-code-35a-15-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
