{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-38-1b-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 38-1b-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Alternate means\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.\n(2) \"Construction project\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.\n(3) \"Construction work\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.\n(4) \"Designated agent\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.\n(5) \"Division\" means the Division of Professional Licensing created in Section 58-1-103.\n(6) \"Government project\" means a construction project undertaken by or for:\n(a) the state, including a department, division, or other agency of the state; or\n(b) a county, city, town, school district, special district, special service district, community reinvestment agency, or other political subdivision of the state.\n(7) \"Government project-identifying information\" means:\n(a) the lot or parcel number of each lot included in the project property that has a lot or parcel number; or\n(b) the unique project number assigned by the designated agent.\n(8) \"Original contractor\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.\n(9) \"Owner\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.\n(10) \"Owner-builder\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.\n(11) \"Private project\" means a construction project that is not a government project.\n(12) \"Project property\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.\n(13) \"Registry\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.","path":["Title 38 Liens","Chapter 38-1b Government Construction Projects","Part 38-1b-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title38/Chapter1b/38-1b-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"61bfc0154137ad9ff6123303f66b819213d3d4e51df19f3a4dc077711ea4f0d7","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-38-1b-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-38-1b-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
