{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-4-12-105.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 4-12-105.5","heading":"Labeling and registration requirements for home-produced pet treats specified.","body":"(1) Each container of home-produced pet treats distributed in the state shall have a label specifying:\n(a) the name and principal mailing address of the manufacturer or registrant;\n(b) the text \"Assorted Pet Treats\" and the brand name, if any, under which the pet treat is distributed;\n(c) the common name of each ingredient used in the pet treat, in descending order, by predominance based on weight;\n(d) a quantity statement for the treat;\n(e) adequate direction for the treat's safe and effective use, if necessary; and\n(f) precautionary statements, if necessary.\n(2)\n(a) A home-produced pet treat:\n(i) shall be registered as an \"Assorted Pet Treat\";\n(ii) shall include a label with the registered name;\n(iii) may not be distributed outside of the state; and\n(iv) is restricted to retail sales only.\n(b) A registration described in Subsection (2)(a)(i) covers all versions of a home-produced pet treat.","path":["Title 4 Utah Agricultural Code","Chapter 4-12 Utah Commercial Feed Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title4/Chapter12/4-12-S105.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"0eca023c93c95812927f4d108ecb8bd2b8404b7dd2be48c51414f0e7c7448be7","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-4-12-105","next":"us-ut/utah-code-4-12-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
