{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-4-20-103","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 4-20-103","heading":"Utah Grazing Improvement Program Advisory Board -- Duties.","body":"(1)\n(a) There is created within the department the Utah Grazing Improvement Program Advisory Board.\n(b) The commissioner shall appoint the following members:\n(i) one member from each regional board;\n(ii) one member from the Conservation Commission, created in Section 4-18-104;\n(iii) one representative of the Department of Natural Resources;\n(iv) two livestock producers at-large; and\n(v) one representative of the oil, gas, or mining industry.\n(2) The term of office for a state board member is four years.\n(3) Members of the state board shall elect a chair, who shall serve for two years.\n(4) A member may not receive compensation or benefits for the member's service but may receive per diem and travel expenses in accordance with:\n(a) Section 63A-3-106;\n(b) Section 63A-3-107; and\n(c) rules made by the Division of Finance pursuant to Sections 63A-3-106 and 63A-3-107.\n(5) The state board shall:\n(a) receive:\n(i) advice and recommendations from a regional board concerning:\n(A) management plans for public lands, state lands, and school and institutional trust lands as defined in Section 53C-1-103, within the regional board's region; and\n(B) any issue that impacts grazing on private lands, public lands, state lands, or school and institutional trust lands as defined in Section 53C-1-103, in its region; and\n(ii) requests for restricted account money from the entities described in Subsections (5)(c)(i) through (iv);\n(b) recommend state policy positions and cooperative agency participation in federal and state land management plans to the department and to the Public Lands Policy Coordinating Office, created under Section 63L-11-201; and\n(c) advise the department on the requests and recommendations of:\n(i) regional boards;\n(ii) county weed control boards, created in Section 4-17-105;\n(iii) cooperative weed management associations; and\n(iv) conservation districts created under the authority of Title 17D, Chapter 3, Conservation District Act.","path":["Title 4 Utah Agricultural Code","Chapter 4-20 Rangeland Improvement Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title4/Chapter20/4-20-S103.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"86513e7ce979242738a42ccb2e8f39223a8ec22adae997af449e47df82831d27","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-4-20-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-4-20-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
