{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-4-23-103","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 4-23-103","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Agricultural crops\" means any product of cultivation;\n(2) \"Board\" means the Agricultural and Wildlife Damage Prevention Board;\n(3) \"Bounty\" means the monetary compensation paid to persons for the harvest of predatory or depredating animals;\n(4) \"Damage\" means any injury or loss to livestock, poultry, agricultural crops, or wildlife inflicted by predatory or depredating animals or depredating birds;\n(5) \"Depredating animal\" means a field mouse, gopher, ground squirrel, jack rabbit, raccoon, or prairie dog;\n(6) \"Depredating bird\" means a Brewer's blackbird or starling;\n(7) \"Livestock\" means cattle, horses, mules, sheep, goats, and swine;\n(8) \"Predatory animal\" means any coyote; and\n(9) \"Wildlife\" means any form of animal life generally living in a state of nature, except a predatory animal or a depredating animal or bird.","path":["Title 4 Utah Agricultural Code","Chapter 4-23 Agricultural and Wildlife Damage Prevention Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title4/Chapter23/4-23-S103.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"be1b8dd4f19e62199f46c8ad08396714f9dfbc5b892e479c00fe3d87b1bfd132","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-4-23-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-4-23-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
