{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-4-32-108","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 4-32-108","heading":"Duties of person who holds a farm custom slaughter license.","body":"Each person who holds a farm custom slaughter license shall:\n(1) keep accurate records of each animal or a nonamenable species slaughtered, including:\n(a) the name, address, and telephone number of each person for whom the animal or a nonamenable species is slaughtered;\n(b) a full description of each animal or a nonamenable species slaughtered including age, brands, marks, or other identifying marks, proof of ownership, and the destination of the carcass for processing; and\n(c) the date of slaughter;\n(2) require that each animal presented for slaughter bear a farm custom slaughter NOT FOR SALE tag;\n(3) render the animal to be slaughtered insensible to pain by captive bolt, gunshot, electric shock, or other humane means before it is shackled, hoisted, thrown, cast, or cut; and\n(4) stamp and tag the carcass of any slaughtered animal \"Not For Sale.\"","path":["Title 4 Utah Agricultural Code","Chapter 4-32 Utah Meat and Poultry Products Inspection and Licensing Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title4/Chapter32/4-32-S108.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"4c9d510621a16390d8d2fba48355c2b5554b2df9701c811018820848ae9fe8a4","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-4-32-107","next":"us-ut/utah-code-4-32-109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
