{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-4-33-104","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 4-33-104","heading":"Administrative and enforcement powers of department.","body":"The department shall administer and enforce this chapter and may:\n(1) make and enforce such rules, subject to Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, necessary for the effective administration and enforcement of this chapter;\n(2) acquire and test motor fuel samples to determine compliance with this chapter;\n(3) maintain and staff a laboratory to test motor fuel samples;\n(4) enter public or private premises during normal working hours to enforce this chapter;\n(5) stop and detain any commercial vehicle transporting motor fuel to inspect the contents and applicable documents or to acquire motor fuel samples; and\n(6) require that records applicable to this chapter be available for examination and review upon request by the department.","path":["Title 4 Utah Agricultural Code","Chapter 4-33 Motor Fuel Inspection Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title4/Chapter33/4-33-S104.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"e899b2d263144e19a3f0ecdec94ba0deeff9bf09a87007c361cbf949aa89bd16","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-4-33-103","next":"us-ut/utah-code-4-33-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
