{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-4-38-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 4-38-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Commission\" means the Utah Horse Racing Commission created by this chapter.\n(2) \"Executive director\" means the executive director of the commission.\n(3) \"Mixed meet\" means a race meet that includes races by more than one breed of horse.\n(4) \"Race meet\" means the entire period of time for which a licensee has been approved to hold horse races.\n(5) \"Racetrack facility\" means a racetrack within Utah approved by the commission for the racing of horses, including the track surface, grandstands, clubhouse, all animal housing and handling areas, and other areas in which a person may enter only upon payment of an admission fee or upon presentation of authorized credentials.\n(6) \"Recognized race meet\" means a race meet recognized by a national horse breed association.\n(7) \"Utah bred horse\" means a horse that is sired by a stallion standing in Utah at the time the dam was bred.","path":["Title 4 Utah Agricultural Code","Chapter 4-38 Utah Horse Regulation Act","Part 4-38-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title4/Chapter38/4-38-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"af002d068257477ab46aca61c30d6e0b5696b5af3730f174d24fabc7245bd0ca","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-4-37-602","next":"us-ut/utah-code-4-38-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
