{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-4-41-402","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 4-41-402","heading":"Cannabinoid sales and use authorized.","body":"(1) The sale or use of a cannabinoid product is prohibited:\n(a) except as provided in this chapter; or\n(b) unless the United States Food and Drug Administration approves the product.\n(2) The department shall keep a list of registered cannabinoid products that the department has determined, in accordance with Section 4-41-403, are safe for human consumption.\n(3)\n(a) A person may sell or use a cannabinoid product that is in the list of registered cannabinoid products described in Subsection (2).\n(b) An individual may use cannabidiol or a cannabidiol product that is not in the list of registered cannabinoid products described in Subsection (2) if:\n(i) the individual purchased the product outside the state; and\n(ii) the product's contents do not violate Title 58, Chapter 37, Controlled Substances, or Title 76, Chapter 18, Part 2, Offenses Concerning Controlled Substances.\n(4) Any marketing for a cannabinoid product shall include a notice to consumers that the product is hemp or CBD and is not cannabis or medical cannabis, as those terms are defined in Section 26B-4-201.","path":["Title 4 Utah Agricultural Code","Chapter 4-41 Hemp and Cannabinoid Act","Part 4-41-4 Cannabinoid Product Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title4/Chapter41/4-41-S402.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"9d9a276c2601d29dc195773b3f3765f3293fe9da65894cd6b06570c695d27c70","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-4-41-106","next":"us-ut/utah-code-4-41-403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
