{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-40-11-21","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 40-11-21","heading":"Fees related to reservoir or storage facility.","body":"(1) There is levied a fee per ton of carbon dioxide injected into a reservoir or storage facility.\n(2) The board shall establish the fee described in Subsection (1) in accordance with Section 63J-1-504 to equal the sum of:\n(a) an amount to pay the anticipated costs to the division of the regulation of storage facility:\n(i) construction;\n(ii) operation; and\n(iii) pre-closure activities; and\n(b) an amount to pay the anticipated costs to the division of the long-term monitoring and management of a closed storage facility.\n(3) The division shall deposit money collected under this section into the fund.","path":["Title 40 Mines and Mining","Chapter 40-11 Geologic Carbon Storage"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title40/Chapter11/40-11-S21.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"df1435f4c96f1b96f73452d3287d27447c133a9bfdf335b05579ec2a35e9499e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-40-11-20","next":"us-ut/utah-code-40-11-23"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
