{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-40-6-16","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 40-6-16","heading":"Duties of division.","body":"In addition to the duties assigned by the board, the division shall:\n(1) develop and implement an inspection program that will include production data, pre-drilling checks, and site security reviews;\n(2) publish a monthly production report;\n(3) publish a monthly gas processing plant report;\n(4) review and evaluate, before a hearing, evidence submitted with the petition to be presented to the board;\n(5) require adequate assurance of approved water rights in accordance with rules and orders enacted under Section 40-6-5;\n(6) notify the county executive of the county in which the drilling will take place in writing of the issuance of a drilling permit;\n(7) complete the verification of natural gas to hydrogen conversion plants required by Section 59-5-303;\n(8) enter agreements and issue tax credit certificates in accordance with Section 40-6-24; and\n(9) through the division's director, implement Title 19, Chapter 12, Pollution Control Act.","path":["Title 40 Mines and Mining","Chapter 40-6 Board and Division of Oil, Gas, and Mining"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title40/Chapter6/40-6-S16.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"d81e904d8069ae5efdfcec0abcb3d43f5fe0cb97dd672f41d407f45720386b96","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-40-6-15","next":"us-ut/utah-code-40-6-17"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
