{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-41-1a-1612","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 41-1a-1612","heading":"Contract for license plate design -- Consultation and other duties.","body":"(1) Using revenue appropriated to the commission from the License Plate Restricted Account as described in Subsection 41-1a-122(4)(d), the commission shall contract with a designer.\n(2) The commission shall ensure that the designer has the capability and expertise to ensure compliance with the license plate design standards described in Subsection 41-1a-1611(8).\n(3) The designer shall:\n(a) consult with the design review board and the commission regarding compliance with license plate design standards described in Subsection 41-1a-1611(8); and\n(b) provide license plate design and artistic assistance to:\n(i) if requested, a sponsoring organization proposing a new special group license plate or existing special group license plate redesign;\n(ii) the division;\n(iii) the commission; and\n(iv) the design review board.","path":["Title 41 Motor Vehicles","Chapter 41-1a Motor Vehicle Act","Part 41-1a-16 Sponsored Special Group License Plates"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title41/Chapter1a/41-1a-S1612.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"777518a6d3e0a2a1cbab447b8c8de366a15840d003efc508ca6027e437362400","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-41-1a-1611","next":"us-ut/utah-code-41-3-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
