{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-41-1a-230.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 41-1a-230.5","heading":"Registration checkoff for promoting and supporting organ donation.","body":"(1) A person who applies for a motor vehicle registration or registration renewal may designate a voluntary contribution of $2 for the purpose of promoting and supporting organ donation.\n(2) This contribution shall be:\n(a) collected by the division;\n(b) treated as a voluntary contribution to the Allyson Gamble Organ Donation Contribution Fund created in Section 26B-1-312 and not as a motor vehicle registration fee; and\n(c) transferred to the Allyson Gamble Organ Donation Contribution Fund created in Section 26B-1-312 at least monthly, less actual administrative costs associated with collecting and transferring the contributions.","path":["Title 41 Motor Vehicles","Chapter 41-1a Motor Vehicle Act","Part 41-1a-2 Registration"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title41/Chapter1a/41-1a-S230.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"661457b8965d3d21f205bfa79b304f3beb39ed292342e5ef94767d8a2a4a11a5","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-41-1a-230.1","next":"us-ut/utah-code-41-1a-230.7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
