{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-41-1a-514","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 41-1a-514","heading":"Certificate of title -- Contents.","body":"(1) The division upon approving an application for a certificate of title shall issue a certificate of title. The face of the certificate of title shall include:\n(a) the date issued;\n(b) the name and address of the owner;\n(c) a description of the vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor titled, including the year, make, and identification number;\n(d) a statement of the owner's title and of one lien or encumbrance, if any, upon the vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor;\n(e) any brand on the title; and\n(f) an odometer statement, if applicable.\n(2) The certificate of title shall bear the seal of the division.\n(3) The certificate of title shall contain adequate space for:\n(a) the assignment and warranty of title or interest by the owner;\n(b) the release of interest by a recorded lien holder; and\n(c) the notation of one lien or encumbrance, if any, existing at the time of transfer.\n(4) The model year that is listed on the certificate of title of a replica vehicle shall be the model year that the body of the vehicle resembles.\n(5) The certificate of title of a replica vehicle shall indicate that the vehicle is a replica vehicle.","path":["Title 41 Motor Vehicles","Chapter 41-1a Motor Vehicle Act","Part 41-1a-5 Titling Requirement"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title41/Chapter1a/41-1a-S514.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"75f39e3bc4221e3597cff62e803ac85b9ac87980bc6e4242d55e02ed20c4d032","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-41-1a-513","next":"us-ut/utah-code-41-1a-515"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
