{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-41-21-1","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 41-21-1","heading":"Definitions.","body":"(1) \"Autocycle\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 53-3-102.\n(2) \"Motorcycle\" means:\n(a) a motor vehicle having a saddle for the use of the rider and designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground; or\n(b) an autocycle.\n(3)\n(a) \"Street rod\" means a motor vehicle or motorcycle that:\n(i)\n(A) was manufactured in 1948 or before; or\n(B)\n(I) was manufactured after 1948 to resemble a vehicle that was manufactured in 1948 or before; and\n(II)\n(Aa) has been altered from the manufacturer's original design; or\n(Bb) has a body constructed from non-original materials; and\n(ii) is primarily a collector's item that is used for:\n(A) club activities;\n(B) exhibitions;\n(C) tours;\n(D) parades;\n(E) occasional transportation; and\n(F) other similar uses.\n(b) \"Street rod\" does not include a motor vehicle or motorcycle that is used for general, daily transportation.\n(4)\n(a) \"Vintage travel trailer\" means a travel trailer, camping trailer, or fifth wheel trailer that is:\n(i) 30 years old or older, from the current year; and\n(ii) primarily a collector's item that is used for:\n(A) participation in club activities;\n(B) exhibitions;\n(C) tours;\n(D) parades;\n(E) occasional recreational or vacation use; and\n(F) other similar uses.\n(b) \"Vintage travel trailer\" does not include a travel trailer, camping trailer, or fifth wheel trailer that is used for the general, daily transportation of persons or property.\n(5)\n(a) \"Vintage vehicle\" means a motor vehicle or motorcycle that:\n(i) is 30 years old or older from the current year; and\n(ii) is primarily a collector's item that is used for:\n(A) participation in club activities;\n(B) exhibitions;\n(C) tours;\n(D) parades;\n(E) occasional transportation; and\n(F) other similar uses.\n(b) \"Vintage vehicle\" does not include a motor vehicle or motorcycle that is used for general, daily transportation.\n(c) \"Vintage vehicle\" includes a:\n(i) street rod; and\n(ii) vintage travel trailer.","path":["Title 41 Motor Vehicles","Chapter 41-21 Vintage Vehicles"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title41/Chapter21/41-21-S1.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"546c52337678920900b0a2163e115ca92533a995bb19deb9761d1d88defa40af","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-41-19-2","next":"us-ut/utah-code-41-21-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
