{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-41-22-36","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 41-22-36","heading":"Fees to cover the costs of electronic payments.","body":"(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"Electronic payment\" has the same meaning as defined in Section 41-1a-1221.\n(b) \"Electronic payment fee\" has the same meaning as defined in Section 41-1a-1221.\n(2)\n(a) The Motor Vehicle Division may collect an electronic payment fee on all registrations and renewals of registration under Section 41-22-8.\n(b) The fee described in Subsection (2)(a) shall be imposed regardless of the method of payment for a particular transaction.\n(3) The division shall establish the fee according to the procedures and requirements of Section 63J-1-504.\n(4) A fee imposed under this section:\n(a) shall be deposited in the Electronic Payment Fee Restricted Account created by Section 41-1a-121;\n(b) is not subject to Subsection 63J-1-105(3) or (4); and\n(c) need not be separately identified from the fees imposed on registrations and renewals of registration under Section 41-22-8.","path":["Title 41 Motor Vehicles","Chapter 41-22 Off-highway Vehicles"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title41/Chapter22/41-22-S36.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"03e920606362bdd8ee1bd1fd3e1166b622757b2c361da9251bbc5ad9f64a84f1","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-41-22-35.5","next":"us-ut/utah-code-41-22-37"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
