{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-41-3-201.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 41-3-201.5","heading":"Brokering of a new motor vehicle without a license prohibited.","body":"(1)\n(a) A person may not, for a fee, commission, or other form of compensation, arrange, offer to arrange, or broker a transaction involving the sale or lease of more than two:\n(i) new or used motor vehicles in any 12 consecutive month period, unless the person is licensed under Subsection 41-3-202(1); or\n(ii) used motor vehicles in any 12 consecutive month period, unless the person is licensed under Subsection 41-3-202(2).\n(b) Each transaction a person arranges, offers to arrange, or brokers involving the sale or lease of a motor vehicle for a fee, commission, or other form of compensation is a separate violation under this section if:\n(i) the person has for a fee, commission, or other form of compensation, arranged, offered to arrange, or brokered the sale or lease of more than two new or used motor vehicles within the previous 12 consecutive month period; and\n(ii) the person is not licensed under Subsection 41-3-202(1).\n(2) A person who violates this section is guilty of a class B misdemeanor.","path":["Title 41 Motor Vehicles","Chapter 41-3 Motor Vehicle Business Regulation Act","Part 41-3-2 Licensing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title41/Chapter3/41-3-S201.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"730f4dde7ad0ddd8e0d81957163236705007215bb958d3f87b6614f2d9aac61f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-41-3-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-41-3-201.7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
