{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-41-6a-1306","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 41-6a-1306","heading":"School buses removed from service -- Removal of markings -- Repainting -- School district not to bear expense -- Infraction.","body":"(1)\n(a) As used in this section, \"old school bus\" means a school bus that has been removed from service and is operated on the highways, streets, or roads of this state for a nonschool permanent commercial use.\n(b) A person who acquires an old school bus shall cause:\n(i) identifying markings be removed; and\n(ii) the bus be painted a color other than school-bus yellow.\n(c) The school districts may not be charged any expense related to removing markings from the school bus removed from service.\n(2) A person who violates this section is guilty of an infraction.","path":["Title 41 Motor Vehicles","Chapter 41-6a Traffic Code","Part 41-6a-13 School Buses and School Bus Parking Zones"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title41/Chapter6a/41-6a-S1306.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b54a2d2eecf5239e50b6daeb4dfc6cf937d6252c9f1db09fdb6055660bfe1e32","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-41-6a-1305","next":"us-ut/utah-code-41-6a-1307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
