{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-45-1-201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 45-1-201","heading":"Newspapers \"of general circulation\" -- Requirements.","body":"For the purpose of publishing notice required by Utah law, a \"newspaper of general circulation\" means a newspaper that:\n(1) has a bona fide subscription list of not less than 200 subscribers in this state;\n(2) has been published for 18 months or longer; and\n(3)\n(a) has been eligible for mailing under a United States Postal Service periodicals permit for at least 12 months; or\n(b)\n(i) publishes at least 12 issues in each year; and\n(ii) is composed of, as a percentage of each issue's total content not including inserts and special sections, at least 25% content that:\n(A) the newspaper receives no compensation to publish; and\n(B) is of local or general interest.","path":["Title 45 Publication and Broadcasting","Chapter 45-1 Official Notices","Part 45-1-2 Newspaper Publication Requirements"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title45/Chapter1/45-1-S201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b83939ab1bd6603c3dead4e2f0950ebb10b60abb7d625620c49ea74c391cff41","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-45-1-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-45-1-305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
