{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-48-1d-1303","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 48-1d-1303","heading":"Name limitations.","body":"(1) The name of a domestic professional services partnership and of a foreign professional services partnership authorized to transact business in this state, in addition to complying with Sections 48-1d-1105 and 48-1d-1206:\n(a) may not contain language stating or implying that it is formed for a purpose other than that authorized by Section 48-1d-1304; and\n(b) must conform with any rule made by the regulating board having jurisdiction over a professional service to be rendered by the professional service partnership.\n(2) Sections 48-1d-1105 and 48-1d-1206 do not prevent the use of a name otherwise prohibited by those sections if the name is:\n(a) the personal name of an individual partner or individual former partner of the professional services partnership; or\n(b) the name of an individual who was associated with a predecessor of the professional services partnership.","path":["Title 48 Unincorporated Business Entity Act","Chapter 48-1d Utah Uniform Partnership Act","Part 48-1d-13 Professional Services Limited Liability Partnerships"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title48/Chapter1d/48-1d-S1303.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"1a1d4a86b1368e4334a16bef352e2c9bf25d20092538fed40b9d87e7494ca09e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-48-1d-1302","next":"us-ut/utah-code-48-1d-1304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
