{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-48-2e-210","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 48-2e-210","heading":"Liability for inaccurate information in filed record.","body":"(1) If a record delivered to the division for filing under this chapter and filed by the division contains inaccurate information, a person that suffers loss by reliance on the information may recover damages for the loss from:\n(a) a person that signed the record, or caused another to sign it on the person's behalf, and knew the information to be inaccurate at the time the record was signed; and\n(b) a general partner if:\n(i) the record was delivered for filing on behalf of the limited partnership; and\n(ii) the general partner had notice of the inaccuracy for a reasonably sufficient time before the information was relied upon so that, before the reliance, the general partner reasonably could have:\n(A) effected an amendment under Section 48-2e-202;\n(B) filed a petition under Section 48-2e-204; or\n(C) delivered to the division for filing a statement of change under Section 16-17-206 or a statement of correction under Section 48-2e-208.\n(2) An individual who signs a record authorized or required to be filed under this chapter affirms under penalty of perjury that the information stated in the record is accurate.","path":["Title 48 Unincorporated Business Entity Act","Chapter 48-2e Utah Uniform Limited Partnership Act","Part 48-2e-2 Formation -- Certificate of Limited Partnership and Other Filings"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title48/Chapter2e/48-2e-S210.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"4799e19e7cd6d617c439967471c0d590159a7659aa8dedf16ef044ebb2ffed4d","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-48-2e-209","next":"us-ut/utah-code-48-2e-211"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
