{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-48-3a-1106","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 48-3a-1106","heading":"Limit of one profession.","body":"(1) A professional services company organized to provide a professional service under this part may provide only:\n(a) one specific type of professional service; and\n(b) services ancillary to the professional service described in Subsection (1)(a).\n(2) A professional services company organized to provide a professional service under this part may not engage in a business other than to provide:\n(a) the professional service that it was organized to provide; and\n(b) services ancillary to the professional service described in Subsection (2)(a).\n(3) Notwithstanding Subsections (1) and (2), a professional services company may:\n(a) own real and personal property necessary or appropriate for providing the type of professional service it was organized to provide; and\n(b) invest the professional services company's money in one or more of the following:\n(i) real estate;\n(ii) mortgages;\n(iii) stocks;\n(iv) bonds; or\n(v) another type of investment.","path":["Title 48 Unincorporated Business Entity Act","Chapter 48-3a Utah Revised Uniform Limited Liability Company Act","Part 48-3a-11 Professional Services Companies"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title48/Chapter3a/48-3a-S1106.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"2c346715666ab5b1264f8f18eb3470963355f8f8be211938bedd3c47b7cb95e5","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-48-3a-1105","next":"us-ut/utah-code-48-3a-1107"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
