{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-49-20-413","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 49-20-413","heading":"Pilot program for on-site employee clinic.","body":"(1) Within state premiums paid to the state risk pool from the Legislature, the program shall establish a primary care clinic:\n(a) for state employees and their dependents;\n(b) within a state building that is accessible to a large number of state employees; and\n(c) in accordance with Subsection (2).\n(2) The program shall:\n(a) affiliate with an existing clinic:\n(i) located in a building accessible to a large number of state employees; and\n(ii) managed by a physician licensed in this state under Title 58, Chapter 67, Utah Medical Practice Act, or Chapter 68, Utah Osteopathic Medical Practice Act; or\n(b) request bids from private entities to establish the on-site primary care clinic in accordance with criteria established by the program, which shall include at least the following:\n(i) the entity's ability to establish a primary care clinic that is designed to:\n(A) be convenient for employees and their dependents;\n(B) increase health of employees;\n(C) increase compliance with health care screening and management of chronic health care conditions; and\n(D) dispense commonly used, pre-packaged drugs in a cost effective manner;\n(ii) the entity's organizational and financial independence from any particular hospital network, network of clinics, or network of health care providers; and\n(iii) management of the clinic by a physician licensed in the state under Title 58, Chapter 67, Utah Medical Practice Act, or Chapter 68, Utah Osteopathic Medical Practice Act.","path":["Title 49 Utah State Retirement and Insurance Benefit Act","Chapter 49-20 Public Employees' Benefit and Insurance Program Act","Part 49-20-4 Insurance Program"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title49/Chapter20/49-20-S413.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"2f2542a614bfc7b443cc3aa76f0ca8fec043442e705cd9091f9b648640aa2ea6","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-49-20-410","next":"us-ut/utah-code-49-20-414"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
