{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-49-20-419","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 49-20-419","heading":"Coverage of exome sequence testing.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"exome sequence testing\" means a genomic technique for sequencing the genome of an individual for diagnostic purposes.\n(2) Beginning July 1, 2019, the program shall provide coverage for exome sequence testing:\n(a) for a covered individual within the state risk pool who:\n(i) is younger than 21 years of age; and\n(ii) who remains undiagnosed after exhausting all other appropriate diagnostic-related tests;\n(b) performed by a nationally recognized provider with significant experience in exome sequence testing;\n(c) that is medically necessary; and\n(d) at a rate set by the program.","path":["Title 49 Utah State Retirement and Insurance Benefit Act","Chapter 49-20 Public Employees' Benefit and Insurance Program Act","Part 49-20-4 Insurance Program"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title49/Chapter20/49-20-S419.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"6a47f6a78e6b3f39ca17ad8ce0f27ac5e1411b0a71e26982e1f11f73f8cdca0b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-49-20-418","next":"us-ut/utah-code-49-20-420"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
