{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-51-12-201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 51-12-201","heading":"Investment opportunities.","body":"(1) A qualified depository may request the state treasurer to make a deposit in the qualified depository if the qualified depository:\n(a) has identified and approved for financing a qualified project; and\n(b) requests no more than 100% of the financing for a qualified project.\n(2) Subject to Subsection (3), the state treasurer shall approve the qualified depository's request for deposit:\n(a) unless the state treasurer determines the qualified depository does not merit deposit under fiduciary duties and prudent investment practices within the parameters of this chapter;\n(b) in an amount that is equal to the lesser of:\n(i) the deposit amount requested;\n(ii) $60,000,000; or\n(iii) 50% of the qualified depository's maximum amount of public deposits determined in accordance with Section 51-7-18.1; and\n(c) as sufficient money becomes available in the fund and in accordance with Subsection 72-2-134(4)(a).\n(3) The state treasurer may not approve a request for deposit after December 31, 2027.\n(4) The state treasurer shall notify Utah Housing Corporation of any qualified projects for which the state treasurer makes a deposit in a qualified depository.","path":["Title 51 Public Funds and Accounts","Chapter 51-12 Utah Homes Investment Program","Part 51-12-2 Investment Program"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title51/Chapter12/51-12-S201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"52227f50143dd7005f4f73c68b6e025f55b3e011c12cc57ffceb547f80e8ce9a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-51-12-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-51-12-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
