{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-51-13-202","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 51-13-202","heading":"State Sovereignty Fund -- Investment -- Administrative costs.","body":"(1) The state treasurer shall:\n(a) invest money in the fund with the following goals, in order of priority:\n(i) providing for growth of the principal; and\n(ii) fund stability;\n(b) invest and manage fund assets as a prudent investor would by:\n(i) considering the purpose, terms, distribution requirements, and other circumstances of the fund; and\n(ii) exercising reasonable care, skill, and caution in order to meet the standard of care of a prudent investor; and\n(c) deposit into the fund the interest, dividends, or other earnings attributable to the fund.\n(2) The state treasurer may deduct any administrative costs incurred by managing the fund from earnings generated by investments in the fund.","path":["Title 51 Public Funds and Accounts","Chapter 51-13 State Sovereignty Fund","Part 51-13-2 Establishment of State Sovereignty Fund"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title51/Chapter13/51-13-S202.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"5b98430df07d83a4579ea825c1992f67bf409109a6540a654bc8aceeb3519bb8","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-51-13-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-52-1-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
