{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-51-7-22.4","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 51-7-22.4","heading":"Penalties for violation by certified investment advisers.","body":"(1) An intentional violation by a certified investment adviser of Section 51-7-7, 51-7-11, or 51-7-11.5, or any rule or order under this chapter is punishable by a civil penalty of:\n(a) $1,000 for each day of noncompliance for the investment adviser; and\n(b) $5,000 for each day of noncompliance for the firm or institution where the certified investment adviser is employed.\n(2) In addition to any other penalty for a criminal violation of this chapter, the sentencing judge may impose any penalty or remedy provided for in Subsection 51-7-22.5(1)(b).\n(3) Funds collected under Subsection (1) shall be deposited in the General Fund.","path":["Title 51 Public Funds and Accounts","Chapter 51-7 State Money Management Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title51/Chapter7/51-7-S22.4.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"c4a53c6cc3e9beea9c284969ebae62b07a78e2f1d140efc4ae30f3dd963dbde1","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-51-7-22","next":"us-ut/utah-code-51-7-22.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
