{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-52-4-303","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 52-4-303","heading":"Enforcement of chapter -- Suit to compel compliance.","body":"(1) The attorney general and county attorneys of the state shall enforce this chapter.\n(2) The attorney general shall, on at least a yearly basis, provide notice to all public bodies that are subject to this chapter of any material changes to the requirements for the conduct of meetings under this chapter.\n(3) A person denied any right under this chapter may commence suit in a court of competent jurisdiction to:\n(a) compel compliance with or enjoin violations of this chapter; or\n(b) determine the chapter's applicability to discussions or decisions of a public body.\n(4) The court may award reasonable attorney fees and court costs to a successful plaintiff.","path":["Title 52 Public Officers","Chapter 52-4 Open and Public Meetings Act","Part 52-4-3 Enforcement"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title52/Chapter4/52-4-S303.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"3b1b84dcd9f9ce56f4260b7a9af8b67cfe9b998c80726f6ac034153265ccb072","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-52-4-302","next":"us-ut/utah-code-52-4-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
