{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53-15-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53-15-102","heading":"Purpose.","body":"(1) The Legislature recognizes that children are often in dangerous situations that may be threatening or frightening to them and that there is a need for \"safe homes\" in our neighborhoods where a child may go for help.\n(2) The Legislature also recognizes that along with the need for \"safe homes\" that children can recognize easily, there is needed a method by which these homes can be identified.\n(3) The purpose of this chapter is to:\n(a) provide and designate a recognizable symbol for those \"safe homes\" that children can readily identify; and\n(b) establish a method by which local law enforcement agencies can identify and train volunteers who are willing to make their homes \"safe homes\".","path":["Title 53 Public Safety Code","Chapter 53-15 Mcgruff Safe House Act","Part 53-15-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53/Chapter15/53-15-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"c887f765534f9b8e249cebce2a0a6161af4fd04ddc67100cb2e149fb678dea5f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53-15-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53-15-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
