{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53-2d-110","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53-2d-110","heading":"Emergency Medical Services Critical Needs Account.","body":"(1) There is created within the General Fund a restricted account known as the \"Emergency Medical Services Critical Needs Account.\"\n(2) The account shall be funded through deposits of:\n(a) interest earned on the account;\n(b) appropriations made by the Legislature; and\n(c) contributions deposited into the account in accordance with Subsection 53-2d-207(3)(g).\n(3) All funds in the account shall be nonlapsing.\n(4) The bureau shall:\n(a) calculate and allocate for use under Subsection (4)(b) an amount not greater than 25% of the fund balance, quarterly, as of January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1 of each year; and\n(b) use the allocated amount under Subsection (4)(a) to award and fund critical needs grants:\n(i) in accordance with the criteria and procedures established by administrative rule; and\n(ii) during the three-month period ending on the date of the next quarterly allocation under Subsection (4)(a).","path":["Title 53 Public Safety Code","Chapter 53-2d Emergency Medical Services Act","Part 53-2d-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53/Chapter2d/53-2d-S110.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"e496107f762ead73afa0adda7fb17cdf7c331ddd0cf940a70f6adf9026f162a7","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53-2d-109","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53-2d-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
