{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53-2d-606","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53-2d-606","heading":"Investigations for enforcement of chapter.","body":"(1) The bureau may, for the purpose of ascertaining compliance with the provisions of this chapter, enter and inspect on a routine basis the business premises and equipment of a person:\n(a) with a designation, permit, or license; or\n(b) who holds himself out to the general public as providing a service for which a designation, permit, or license is required under Section 53-2d-401.\n(2) Before conducting an inspection under Subsection (1), the bureau shall, after identifying the person in charge:\n(a) give proper identification;\n(b) describe the nature and purpose of the inspection; and\n(c) if necessary, explain the authority of the department to conduct the inspection.\n(3) In conducting an inspection under Subsection (1), the bureau may, after meeting the requirements of Subsection (2):\n(a) inspect records, equipment, and vehicles; and\n(b) interview personnel.\n(4) An inspection conducted under Subsection (1) shall be during regular operational hours.","path":["Title 53 Public Safety Code","Chapter 53-2d Emergency Medical Services Act","Part 53-2d-6 Enforcement Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53/Chapter2d/53-2d-S606.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"f1130aba66cd2897fec30d0e24375f45c982166bcc55cd3c4305dad40695ac4b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53-2d-605","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53-2d-606.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
