{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53-2d-805","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53-2d-805","heading":"Duties of emergency medical dispatch centers.","body":"An emergency medical dispatch center shall:\n(1) implement a system to receive and manage the information reported to the emergency medical dispatch center under Section 53-2d-803;\n(2) record in the system described in Subsection (1), all information received under Section 53-2d-803 within 14 days after the day on which the information is received;\n(3) inform an individual who calls to report a potential incident of sudden cardiac arrest of the location of an AED located at the address of the potential sudden cardiac arrest;\n(4) provide verbal instructions to an individual described in Subsection (3) to:\n(a) help the individual determine if a patient is in cardiac arrest; and\n(b) if needed:\n(i) provide direction to start CPR;\n(ii) offer instructions on how to perform CPR; or\n(iii) offer instructions on how to use an AED, if one is available; and\n(5) provide the information contained in the system described in Subsection (1), upon request, to the bureau.","path":["Title 53 Public Safety Code","Chapter 53-2d Emergency Medical Services Act","Part 53-2d-8 Utah Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survival Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53/Chapter2d/53-2d-S805.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"dcdb71045c1b5c68f5ae296091a605cfa0863624b9cbbe75691f3ba075d25974","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53-2d-804","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53-2d-806"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
