{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53-3-214.8","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53-3-214.8","heading":"License or identification card checkoff for public transportation for seniors or people with disabilities.","body":"(1) A person who applies for a license or identification card or a renewal of a license or identification card may designate a voluntary contribution of $1 for public transportation assistance for seniors or people with disabilities.\n(2) This contribution shall be:\n(a) collected by the division;\n(b) treated as a voluntary contribution to the \"Out and About\" Homebound Transportation Assistance Fund created in Section 26B-1-323 to provide public transportation assistance for seniors or people with disabilities and not as a license fee; and\n(c) transferred to the \"Out and About\" Homebound Transportation Assistance Fund created in Section 26B-1-323 at least monthly, less actual administrative costs associated with collecting and transferring the contributions.","path":["Title 53 Public Safety Code","Chapter 53-3 Uniform Driver License Act","Part 53-3-2 Driver Licensing Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53/Chapter3/53-3-S214.8.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"2fc1195547ded8b3ce5cde6068b85ffab2d014676ade07ef971b539bff460526","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53-3-214.7","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53-3-215"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
