{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53-6-304","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53-6-304","heading":"Waiver of training course requirement.","body":"(1) The director may waive the required basic dispatcher training course and certify an applicant who:\n(a) provides evidence that the applicant meets the requirements under Section 53-6-302, relating to qualifications for admission to the training course;\n(b) provides evidence that the applicant has completed a basic dispatcher training program that, in the director's judgment, is equivalent to the course required for certification under this part; and\n(c) passes the certification examination.\n(2) An applicant who fails the examination under Subsection (1)(c) shall complete the basic dispatcher training course and pass the certification examination to become certified.","path":["Title 53 Public Safety Code","Chapter 53-6 Peace Officer Standards and Training Act","Part 53-6-3 Dispatcher Training and Certification Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53/Chapter6/53-6-S304.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"2df835cf8f89aac2821250816cdfb0b3480946a405d99a4d27a9cabc504a55db","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53-6-303","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53-6-305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
