{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53-7-222","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53-7-222","heading":"Restrictions on the sale or use of fireworks.","body":"(1)\n(a) Except as provided in Subsection (1)(b), a division 1.4G dangerous explosive may not be possessed, discharged, sold, or offered for retail sale.\n(b)\n(i) The following persons may purchase, possess, or discharge a division 1.4G dangerous explosive:\n(A) display operators and special effects operators who receive a license from the division in accordance with Section 53-7-223 and approval from their local licensing authority in accordance with Section 11-3-3.5; and\n(B) operators approved by the Division of Wildlife Resources or Department of Agriculture and Food to discharge agricultural and wildlife fireworks.\n(ii) Importers and wholesalers licensed under Section 53-7-224 may possess, sell, and offer to sell division 1.4G dangerous explosives.\n(2) Unclassified fireworks may not be sold, or offered for sale.","path":["Title 53 Public Safety Code","Chapter 53-7 Utah Fire Prevention and Safety Act","Part 53-7-2 Fire Prevention and Fireworks Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53/Chapter7/53-7-S222.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b3f17d78590a424c4ddd9001cee3ffd77637fc8931bc89bc6c950284a29e51b1","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53-7-221","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53-7-223"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
