{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53-8-303","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53-8-303","heading":"Utah Highway Patrol Aero Bureau Restricted Account.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"account\" means the Utah Highway Patrol Aero Bureau Restricted Account created by this section.\n(2) There is created a restricted account in the General Fund known as the \"Utah Highway Patrol Aero Bureau Restricted Account.\"\n(3) The account shall consist of:\n(a) money deposited into the account in accordance with Section 41-22-19;\n(b) money appropriated to the account by the Legislature; and\n(c) any other public or private money received by the division that is:\n(i) given to the division for purposes consistent with this section; and\n(ii) deposited into the account at the request of:\n(A) the division; or\n(B) the person giving the money.\n(4) Money in the account may only be expended for:\n(a) the purchase of aircraft and helicopters for use by the Aero Bureau in search and rescue operations;\n(b) replacement, maintenance, and upgrade of search and rescue equipment;\n(c) search and rescue training and certification for division officers and employees;\n(d) personnel and fuel costs of the Aero Bureau associated with providing search and rescue services; and\n(e) any other equipment or expenses necessary or appropriate for conducting search and rescue activities.","path":["Title 53 Public Safety Code","Chapter 53-8 Utah Highway Patrol Act","Part 53-8-3 Aero Bureau Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53/Chapter8/53-8-S303.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"9db3e1b8f380733e6efb53af63249a43493ce5c7753bae6c0c4f1615c41ff9f8","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53-8-302","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53-10-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
