{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-10-705","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53E-10-705","heading":"Participating institutions.","body":"(1) The director may arrange or collaborate with a participating institution:\n(a) to conduct an innovative practice report or provide other research services, including research regarding barriers to adoption of practices studied by ULEAD;\n(b) to assist an LEA to:\n(i) facilitate communities of practice for replication or adaptation of best practices identified by ULEAD; and\n(ii) advise teachers and school leaders on conducting their own research to improve education practices;\n(c) to assist an LEA with an application to the state board for waiver from a state board rule, made in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, in accordance with Section 53G-7-202 to allow replication or adaptation of best practices; or\n(d) for any other purpose that is consistent with and advances the director's duties and functions.\n(2) An agreement entered into by a participating institution with the state board or an LEA to perform ULEAD work shall:\n(a) include provisions allowing and governing external research data sharing; and\n(b) comply with state and federal law.\n(3) The director shall support federal and private research funding requests by a participating institution for research that is in support of the director's duties and functions.","path":["Title 53E Public Education System -- State Administration","Chapter 53E-10 Other Programs","Part 53E-10-7 ULEAD"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53E/Chapter10/53E-10-S705.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"1eee262f1e2b27dbcd321d1750cd1d87c06d7468d672e5c7a02cdb3c72eb0aea","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-10-704","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-10-706"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
