{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-3-508","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53E-3-508","heading":"Rulemaking -- Standards for high quality programs operating outside of the regular school day.","body":"(1) In accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, the state board shall, in consultation with the Department of Workforce Services, make rules that describe the standards for a high quality program operating outside of the regular school day:\n(a) for elementary or secondary students; and\n(b) offered by a:\n(i) school district;\n(ii) charter school;\n(iii) private provider, including a non-profit provider; or\n(iv) municipality.\n(2) The standards described in Subsection (1) shall specify that a high quality program operating outside of the regular school day:\n(a) provides a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for all participants;\n(b) develops and maintains positive relationships among staff, participants, families, schools, and communities;\n(c) encourages participants to learn new skills; and\n(d) is effectively administered.","path":["Title 53E Public Education System -- State Administration","Chapter 53E-3 State Board of Education Organization, Powers, and Duties","Part 53E-3-5 Miscellaneous Duties"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53E/Chapter3/53E-3-S508.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"6726adbe8305a4984ed51fbc9e081a55885e0db8247bb3cae44bfa9e8a06b41a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-3-507","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-3-509"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
