{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-5-206","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53E-5-206","heading":"Indicators for high schools.","body":"For a high school, in accordance with Section 53E-5-207, the state board shall assign the school's overall rating based on the school's performance on the following indicators:\n(1) academic achievement as measured by performance on a statewide assessment of English language arts, mathematics, and science;\n(2) academic growth as measured by progress from year to year on a statewide assessment of English language arts, mathematics, and science;\n(3) equitable educational opportunity as measured by:\n(a) academic growth of the lowest performing 25% of students as measured by progress of the lowest performing 25% of students on a statewide assessment of English language arts, mathematics, and science; and\n(b) except as provided in Section 53E-5-209, English learner progress as measured by performance on an English learner assessment established by the state board; and\n(4) postsecondary readiness as measured by:\n(a) the school's graduation rate, as described in Section 53E-5-207;\n(b) student performance, as described in Section 53E-5-207, on a college readiness assessment described in Section 53E-4-305; and\n(c) student achievement in advanced course work, as described in Section 53E-5-207.","path":["Title 53E Public Education System -- State Administration","Chapter 53E-5 Accountability","Part 53E-5-2 School Accountability System"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53E/Chapter5/53E-5-S206.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"3a7b3d554a8575d6e9948bfb9b3b52af4dad4a8eb587a0829959c1ec4c6879ed","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-5-205","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-5-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
