{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-6-1104","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53E-6-1104","heading":"Article V -- Teacher qualifications and requirements for licensure under the compact.","body":"(1) Except as provided for active military members or eligible military spouses in Subsection 53E-6-1102(4), a teacher may only be eligible to receive a license under this compact where that teacher holds an unencumbered license in a member state.\n(2) A teacher eligible to receive a license under this compact shall, unless otherwise provided for herein:\n(a) upon their application to receive a license under this compact, undergo a criminal background check in the receiving state in accordance with the laws and regulations of the receiving state; and\n(b) provide the receiving state with the information in addition to the information required for licensure for the purposes of determining compensation, if applicable.","path":["Title 53E Public Education System -- State Administration","Chapter 53E-6 Education Professional Licensure","Part 53E-6-11 Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53E/Chapter6/53E-6-S1104.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"99a33bbb2766354d9646e2939fa73749f0ff536bcb7982108759d0b5a843083e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-6-1103","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53e-6-1105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
