{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53f-4-513","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53F-4-513","heading":"Time period to enroll in an online course.","body":"(1) To provide an LEA and an authorized online course provider with estimates of online course enrollment, a student should enroll in an online course, or declare an intention to enroll in an online course:\n(a) for a high school online course, during the time period the LEA designates for high school course registration; or\n(b) for a middle school online course, during the time period the LEA designates for middle school course registration.\n(2) Notwithstanding Subsection (1) and except as provided in Subsection (3), a student may enroll in an online course at any time during a calendar year.\n(3)\n(a) A student may alter a course schedule by dropping a traditional classroom course and adding an online course consistent with course schedule alteration procedures adopted by the student's primary LEA of enrollment.\n(b) An LEA or school's deadline for dropping a traditional classroom course and adding an online course shall be the same deadline for dropping and adding a traditional classroom course.","path":["Title 53F Public Education System -- Funding","Chapter 53F-4 State Funding -- Contracted Initiatives","Part 53F-4-5 Statewide Online Education Program"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53F/Chapter4/53F-4-S513.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b2ca57256834a106ee00c2c2463bc52037f6fa9ad7c16e341f0f8f95e6cf3f09","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53f-4-512","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53f-4-514"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
