{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-13-305","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53H-13-305","heading":"Computer science education master plan.","body":"The talent board, in consultation with the state board and the talent program, shall develop a computer science education master plan that:\n(1) includes a statement of the objectives and goals of the master plan;\n(2) describes how the talent board and the state board will administer the Computer Science for Utah Grant Program created in Section 53H-13-306;\n(3) provides guidance for local education agencies in implementing computer science education opportunities for students in high school, middle school, and elementary school;\n(4) integrates recommendations and best practices from private and public entities that are seeking to improve and expand the opportunities for computer science education, including the Expanding Computer Education Pathways Alliance; and\n(5) makes recommendations to assist a local education agency in creating a local education agency computer science plan described in Subsection 53H-13-306(6), including:\n(a) providing recommendations regarding course offerings in computer science;\n(b) providing recommendations regarding professional development opportunities in computer science for licensed teachers;\n(c) providing recommendations regarding curriculum software for computer science courses;\n(d) providing recommendations regarding assessment solutions to measure the learning outcomes of students in computer science courses; and\n(e) providing information regarding how a local education agency can receive technical support from the talent board in providing computer science education opportunities for students.","path":["Title 53H Higher Education","Chapter 53H-13 Workforce Development","Part 53H-13-3 Talent Ready Utah and Talent, Education, and Industry Alignment"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53H/Chapter13/53H-13-S305.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"0df9947118c8bf7bffe8fe409a7bcc088ec84ff89f58986ab67460268016725e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-13-304","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-13-306"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
