{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-3-609","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53H-3-609","heading":"Degree-granting institutions that provide technical education -- Duties -- Board evaluation.","body":"(1) A degree-granting institution described in Section 53H-3-608:\n(a) shall:\n(i) fulfill the technical college duties described in Subsections 53H-3-1203(1) and (2); and\n(ii) report annually to the board on:\n(A) the status of technical education in the degree-granting institution's service area; and\n(B) student tuition and fees for the technical education programs provided by the degree-granting institution; and\n(b) may not exercise any jurisdiction over career and technical education provided by a school district or charter school independently of the school district or charter school.\n(2) The board shall monitor and evaluate the impact of degree programs on technical education provided by a degree-granting institution described in Section 53H-3-608.","path":["Title 53H Higher Education","Chapter 53H-3 Institutions of Higher Education Generally","Part 53H-3-6 Institutional Programs and Courses of Study"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53H/Chapter3/53H-3-S609.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"2eb79a7a507c26a0e7b33156da417593fa8a536b4ffdcab9bfc145722c6ba75e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-3-608","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-3-610"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
