{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-4-307.3","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53H-4-307.3","heading":"Center for Civic Excellence -- Leadership.","body":"(1)\n(a) The Office of the Provost shall house the center.\n(b) The provost shall appoint a vice-provost to:\n(i) lead the center; and\n(ii) report to the provost regarding the operation of the center and the general education program.\n(2) The vice-provost overseeing the center shall:\n(a) appoint faculty to the center's curriculum committee;\n(b) oversee the development and assessment of the general education program and the program's courses;\n(c) manage the recruitment of affiliate instructors from other academic units;\n(d) approve appointments of affiliate instructors who will teach for the center;\n(e) approve syllabi from affiliate instructors who will teach for the center;\n(f) oversee the development of performance expectations for affiliate faculty;\n(g) manage the evaluation of affiliate instructors; and\n(h) manage the review and approval of petitions for exceptions for general education requirements.","path":["Title 53H Higher Education","Chapter 53H-4 Individual Institutions","Part 53H-4-3 Utah State University"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53H/Chapter4/53H-4-S307.3.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"653193abbcc832504190c2d28506fb9f0173d17c933b216904965d1615e23d7e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-4-307.2","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-4-307.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
