{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-9-601","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 53H-9-601","heading":"General provisions -- Definitions.","body":"As used in this part:\n(1) \"Capital development\" means the same as capital development project, as defined in Section 63A-5b-401.\n(2) \"Competency-based\" means mastery of subject matter or skill level, as demonstrated through business and industry approved standards and assessments, achieved through participation in a hands-on learning environment, and which is tied to observable, measurable performance objectives.\n(3) \"Dedicated project\" means a capital development project for which state funds from the Technical Colleges Capital Projects Fund created in Section 53H-9-605 are requested or used.\n(4) \"Nondedicated project\" means a capital development project for which state funds from a source other than the Technical Colleges Capital Projects Fund created in Section 53H-9-605 are requested or used.\n(5) \"State funds\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 63A-5b-401.","path":["Title 53H Higher Education","Chapter 53H-9 Property and Facilities","Part 53H-9-6 Technical College Leasing and Capital Development"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53H/Chapter9/53H-9-S601.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"d3465c68b84d11d576a08188bd8614d31f2c8b9de881d0184c58b0432cbe5215","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-9-504","next":"us-ut/utah-code-53h-9-602"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
