{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-54-17-1201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 54-17-1201","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this part:\n(1) \"Agriculture protection area\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 17-81-101.\n(2) \"Solar power plant\" means a utility-scale commercial facility that:\n(a) has a nameplate generating capacity in excess of one megawatt; and\n(b) converts sunlight into electricity for the primary purpose of wholesale or retail sales of generated electricity.\n(3)\n(a) \"State incentive\" means a tax credit, grant, subsidy, loan, or other form of financial support provided by the state or a state agency to promote or support the development or operation of a solar power plant.\n(b) \"State incentive\" includes:\n(i) a clean energy systems tax credit under Sections 59-7-614, 59-10-1014, and 59-10-1106;\n(ii) a tax credit for high cost infrastructure projects under Sections 79-6-602 and 79-6-603; and\n(iii) an alternative energy development tax credit under Section 79-6-503.","path":["Title 54 Public Utilities","Chapter 54-17 Energy Resource Procurement Act","Part 54-17-12 Utility-Scale Solar Power Plants"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title54/Chapter17/54-17-S1201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"bdfadfbd9e2342598b3293d6f509a5595ae4e7151520f78b27d2621206bae4e9","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-54-17-1101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-54-17-1202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
