{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-54-19-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 54-19-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this section:\n(1) \"Internet protocol-enabled service\" means any service, functionality, or application that uses Internet protocol or a successor protocol that enables an end-user to send or receive voice, data, or video communications.\n(2) \"Voice over Internet protocol service\" means any service that:\n(a) enables real time, two-way voice communication originating from or terminating at the user's location in Internet protocol or a successor protocol;\n(b) uses a broadband connection from the user's location; and\n(c) permits a user to receive a telephone call that originates on the public switched telephone network and to terminate a call to the public switched telephone network.","path":["Title 54 Public Utilities","Chapter 54-19 Regulation of Internet Protocol Services"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title54/Chapter19/54-19-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"57947dd666a92185aff64a178225734a836aeab429ed6a7f3e863cff270933b0","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-54-19-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-54-19-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
